OEKO-TEX® MADE IN GREEN, ORGANIC COTTON and STANDARD 100 passed the Green Button 2.0 benchmarking process and are recognised certification labels for various process requirements.
The Green Button is a government-run certification label for sustainably produced textiles and well-known on the German market. The Green Button criteria evaluate if the entire company takes responsibility for compliance with human rights and environmental standards in its textile supply chains. It addresses the company’s due diligence as well as the production processes.
Besides the credible recognition, GOTS standards are accepted by criteria for the following material types:
- OEKO-TEX® MADE IN GREEN: Fibre use and raw materials from organic, agricultural production (organic cotton), raw materials for virgin fibres from man-made polymers (synthetics), raw materials for recycled chemical and natural fibres, wet processing and making up (cut and sew)
- OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100: Fibre use and raw materials from organic, agricultural production (organic cotton), raw materials for virgin fibres from man-made polymers (synthetics), raw materials for recycled chemical and natural fibres
- OEKO-TEX® ORGANIC COTTON: Fibre use and raw materials from organic, agricultural production (organic cotton)
