The three companies want to build the first industrial automatic textile sorting line in France, combining automated sorting technology and recycling technology.
The new textile sorting line is to be the first to combine Pellenc automated sorting technologies with Andritz recycling technologies. It will process post-consumer textile waste into recycled fibres for the spinning, nonwovens and composites industries. Once commissioned in mid-2023, it will serve as a production facility for Nouvelles Fibres Textiles, an R&D line for the three partners, and a test and demo facility for their customers.
Nouvelles Fibres Textiles aims to become a reference in both industrial material production and industrial sorting of post-consumer textiles by using innovative foreign matter separation technologies that deliver pure fibres, selective colours and differentiated fibre types.
